new year, new resolutions, new job, new semester, and a really good fresh start so far. My job started after new years, and the semester started this past week. School and job has kept me really busy. i barely have time in between to watch all the tv i used to. I guess it is a good thing. 830am classes are not as bad as i thought when you have an awesome professor. i have class everyday now, so everyday i cant slack off with studying. anatomy is my life for the next 5 months. so is stats i suppose. I can already feel like time management is kicking in to full gear especially when i start volunteering at cpmc. this is a good thing. im getting somewhere. With my part-time job, its been really great working with the kids. im still working on the arts&crafts activities, especially since i dont have another staff to work with. Im not stressing too much on it but having not done it for 4 years makes it more challenging and i forgot how much patience you need with the younger ones and actually making sure its age appropriate for them to engage in the activity. Yesterday’s activity didnt go so well, the fish weaving was more difficult that i thought it would be since i started having trouble weaving them together also. I ended up having to work with each kid individually to get it done. They were happy though. I was disappointed in myself especially since i know i could have been more prepared. This was definitely not my best work. Anyways, its another 3 day weekend! Ive been waking up at 8 every morning and just reading hunger games. It is so addicting. I started the third book this morning and im more than 70% done with this before i got my haircut this afternoon. I was not satisfied with my haircut. My bangs were too blunt and the layers he gave me, i hate how it creates a semi-rat tail in the back. but for sure my head feels lighter and my hair is not as thick anymore. yay to the new years!
isnt christmas without 5 games of basketball today… ive been up since 9am watching knicks play..then dallas.. how disappointing. then lakers… i forgot how fun it is to watch the games with my brother and dad. and then theres the annoying me where i ask them the most random questions and they go ahead and ignore me until the play is done or a commercial is on. whooooo. but then i slowly started to realize that this game isnt as fun as it used to be. everything is money now and bets and whatnot. other than that, at least it brings the family together <3 MERRRY CHRISTMAS!

after almost 4 months of searching for a part time job, its finally here! and this whole weekend, i thought to myself that i did not wow her enough during the interview and didnt sell myself fully, i cant believe i got a call back from her today. Im so excited for this job! YEEEEEEE. i get to work with children in the richmond district everyday after school as a tutor and what more can i be happy about when you’re getting paid for something you love to do.
